My chinese lumanair uses lumileds 3030 and is 150lm/W ........... or is it?
Many Chinese LED high bay suppliers quote efficacy of 150 lm/w using Philips Lumiled 3030 2D LED’s. The data sheet produced by Lumiled give an LED efficacy of 157 lm/w suggesting only a 7 lumen per watt loss. This is mathematically impossible.
Lets do the numbers.
Heat losses. At a junction temperature of 86 deg C efficiency comes down to 140lm/W
Power supply efficiency of 90% this comes down further to 126lm/W
Optical efficiency of 85% this comes down to 107lm/W
